Presently, Ned serves the HRM area including Halifax, Dartmouth, Bedford, and surrounding communities with professional guitar repair of uncompromising quality. In fact, musicians from across Nova Scotia and even neighbouring provinces of New Brunswick and Newfoundland have brought or sent him instruments for repair.
Ned has been setting up guitars since high-school, but began working professionally under the leadership of John LaRocque at Ring Music (Toronto) circa 1996. There, he further refined his skills and expanded his knowledge in methods of maintenance and repair. Highlights of Ned’s Toronto period include setting up and repairing instruments for childhood guitar and songwriter idols – Bruce Cockburn and Gordon Lightfoot – as well as setting up instruments for Blue Rodeo and other professional Toronto area musicians.
Presently, Ned serves the amateur and professional music community from his workshop in Dartmouth overlooking the beautiful Halifax Harbour.
